These Terms of Use govern your use of the Solar Site Walk iOS application ("the App") provided by schumacher.co ("we," "us," or "our"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these terms.
Solar Site Walk is designed to help you organize and document field observations. It is not a substitute for professional engineering review, structural assessment, electrical inspection, or any other licensed professional service. Do not rely solely on information captured in the App to make safety-critical or contractual decisions.
The App captures data including GPS coordinates, photos, and notes as entered or recorded by the user. We make no representations about the accuracy, completeness, or fitness for any particular purpose of that data. GPS accuracy depends on device hardware and environmental conditions. Photo metadata depends on your device settings.
You are responsible for verifying the accuracy of all information before using it in proposals, contracts, reports, or any other professional context.
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of bugs or viruses.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, schumacher.co and its owners shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the App, including but not limited to:
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from use of the App shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount paid by you to schumacher.co in the twelve months preceding the claim, or (b) $10 USD.
You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You are responsible for:
Solar Site Walk offers a free tier that allows up to five site walks at no charge. To create additional site walks, a Solar Site Walk Pro subscription is required.
Subscriptions are offered on a monthly or annual basis and are billed through your Apple ID at the rate shown at the time of purchase. You may manage or cancel your subscription at any time through iOS Settings → [your Apple ID] → Subscriptions. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you retain Pro access until then. No partial refunds are issued for unused time in a billing period.
All billing, payment processing, and refund requests are handled entirely by Apple. schumacher.co does not receive or store your payment information. For refund requests, contact Apple Support or visit reportaproblem.apple.com.
We reserve the right to change subscription pricing. Any price change will be communicated in advance through the App or the App Store listing and will not take effect until your next renewal period.
The App, including its design, code, and content, is owned by schumacher.co and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse engineer any part of the App.
Data you create within the App — site walks, photos, notes, and reports — belongs to you.
The App is distributed through the Apple App Store and is subject to Apple's standard end-user license agreement (EULA) in addition to these Terms. In the event of a conflict between Apple's EULA and these Terms, Apple's EULA will govern with respect to usage rules. Apple is not a party to these Terms and has no obligation to provide support or handle claims related to the App.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
